What KwikNest connects to, what each connection actually gives you, and what it does not. Statuses follow the capability map: Available works today, Available · connect your own waits on one account that has to be in your name, Planned is not built.

The short version#
You do not assemble KwikNest out of apps, and you do not bring vendor accounts to make it work. Storefront, orders, stock, wholesale, delivery and analytics are one product, and the services underneath it — carrier rates and labels, email and SMS delivery, AI, maps — are ours, included, and already running.
Exactly three things on this page are yours to bring, because they cannot be ours:
| Yours | Why |
|---|---|
| Your payment account | Card money settles into it, and the identity check is in your business's name |
| Your domain | Only its owner can change its DNS records |
| Your Instagram | Only you can grant access to your own account |
Everything else here is either included or a platform you are migrating away from.
Payments#
Stripe — Available · connect your own#
Payments settle into your Stripe account, not ours. KwikNest takes a
transaction fee on storefront and wholesale payments that settle through KwikNest,
rather than charging a monthly subscription — the live rates are on the public
pricing page and match the application_fee taken out of each payment. Recording
an off-platform payment (cash, wire, and so on) carries no KwikNest fee.
Connecting Stripe is what turns on:
- Cart and checkout on your storefront, including saved cards and Link for signed-in customers
- Refunds and returns that actually move money
- Buyer payment links and net-terms invoices on wholesale orders
- US ACH and Canadian PAD bank debit on wholesale PO Checkout and hosted invoices, when those methods are enabled for your account
- Identity verification (Stripe runs it; we read the outcome)
You cannot publish a store that takes card payments before this is connected. Cash and external card terminals work without it through the in-person POS, and wholesale orders can still be recorded as paid outside KwikNest.
Not included: we do not move money on your behalf, hold your balance, or act as merchant of record. Payout reconciliation happens in Stripe today.
Shipping carriers#
EasyPost and Shippo — Available#
Carrier access is ours: KwikNest holds the provider accounts, so you do not sign up with a rate aggregator, paste an API key, or pick between the two. If one provider is unreachable, the other is tried automatically.
- Live rates at checkout, priced against your ship-from address and item weights
- Labels bought from the order, with the tracking number written back automatically
- Carrier tracking links on the customer's order page
What you do owe us is your ship-from address and accurate item weights, in Settings. Rates and labels are wrong without them, and no integration can guess them. Flat rates by zone work as an alternative, and you can always type a carrier and tracking number in by hand.
On-demand couriers (DoorDash, Uber, and similar) — Available#
Courier access is ours the same way carrier access is: KwikNest holds the provider accounts, so you do not register a DoorDash Drive or Uber Direct project of your own. When you turn on-demand on under Storefront → Fulfillment, checkout offers it when a courier covers the delivery address, quotes a live fee, and dispatches after payment. Shoppers see status, ETA and a tracking link; cancelling or fully refunding the order cancels the courier booking.
Outside coverage, or if the platform courier accounts are not configured for a market, the option is simply hidden — a merchant never sees a broken choice.
Not the same as local delivery. Your own van runs — planned for a calendar day, with a driver stop list and route optimisation — are a separate fulfilment method. See Local delivery.
Email and messaging#
Email delivery — Available#
Transactional email — order confirmations, shipping and delivery notices, buyer invites, quote responses, delivery manifests, password resets — sends from KwikNest on your behalf, branded with your store name, logo and accent colour. Replies go to your support address.
Marketing campaigns and abandoned-cart recovery use the same delivery path.
Planned: sending from your own domain, so email arrives from
orders@yourbakery.com rather than on our domain. Until then your brand is in the
envelope name and the message, not the sending domain.
SMS and WhatsApp (Twilio) — Available#
Sent through our messaging account — no number to buy, no Twilio project to register. Used for wholesale buyer invites and order-form links, so a buyer who lives in their phone does not have to find an email. If a buyer has no mobile number on file, the invite falls back to email rather than failing.
Not included: SMS to shoppers for order updates, and SMS for internal ops alerts, are Planned.
Migrating from another platform#
Bringing a catalog across is a supported, previewed, one-time copy — not a permanent two-way sync. Every import shows you what will happen before it writes, and reports each row afterwards as migrated, updated, skipped, unsupported or errored, with the reason.
Shopify — Available#
| What | Status |
|---|---|
| Products, variants, images from your store URL | Available — preview before committing |
| Customers from a Shopify CSV export | Available — passwords are never imported |
| Order history from a CSV export | Available — as a read-only archive |
| Live sync of inventory and new orders | Available — see below |
Live sync (Settings → Channels) keeps the two shops honest while you move: inventory changes and new Shopify orders flow into KwikNest, and stock you sell in KwikNest is written back. A SKU we have not matched yet is quarantined rather than guessed at, so an unknown product can never silently overwrite the wrong stock level.
Not included: your theme, apps, discount codes, gift card balances, or customer passwords. Those are rebuilt in KwikNest, and in the case of passwords they are deliberately never transferable.
WooCommerce — Available#
| What | Status |
|---|---|
| Products from a WooCommerce Products → Export CSV or ZIP | Available — simple and variable; grouped / external / bundle reported as unsupported |
| Customers and order history from CSV | Available — same rules as Shopify |
| Live sync of products and orders | Available — see below |
Live sync (Settings → Channels) listens for Woo product and order webhooks. New orders are ingested once Woo marks them Processing or Completed; a cancel, refund or failed payment voids the matching KwikNest order and restocks what we took. Unmatched SKUs quarantine the same way as Shopify. You paste the Woo webhook secret on Settings → Channels — that is the only Woo-side setup.
Not included: your theme, plugins, discount codes, gift card balances, or customer passwords.
Point of sale — Available#
KwikNest has its own in-person POS: a cart you ring up on any browser or tablet, taking cash or a card on your existing terminal, decrementing the same stock your storefront and wholesale channels sell from.
Not available yet: connecting an external POS such as Lightspeed, Square or Clover. Sales rung up on another till do not update KwikNest stock. To keep one stock count, ring in-person sales on the KwikNest POS.
Storefront and marketing#
Your own domain — Available · connect your own#
Add your domain and KwikNest gives you the exact DNS records to enter with your provider. Once verified, your store serves on your own address over HTTPS. Only the domain's owner can make that change, which is why this one is yours.
Instagram — Available · connect your own#
One OAuth click with a Business or Creator account, and a storefront gallery section fills itself from your recent posts instead of your product photos. You can keep manual tiles as a fallback for when the feed is empty.
Maps and route optimisation — Available#
Included — the mapping account is ours. A delivery run of two or more stops is sequenced into a driving route; auto-assign keeps neighbouring addresses on the same van when coordinates are available; and the driver gets a maps link for turn-by-turn navigation. Shopper time windows and van capacity (units / weight) are planned against when the full solver path is enabled. Runs fall back to postal-code order if routing is briefly unavailable.
Not included: live GPS tracking, mid-route traffic re-routing, and a customer-facing live van map. See Local delivery.
Artificial intelligence#
AI features — storefront generation, product drafting from a photograph, image generation, SEO suggestions, the storefront chat assistant, and Nestor — are Available and included. The models are ours: you bring no API key, choose no provider, and pay nothing extra. Some are switched on per account as we roll them out, which is our scheduling rather than your setup.
Every AI action that changes your business data is a draft you approve. Nestor can write a restock purchase order; it cannot send one.
Accounting, marketplaces and a public API#
Stated plainly so nobody plans around them:
| Status | |
|---|---|
| Accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) | Planned — CSV exports cover the interim |
| Sales marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Etsy) | Not on the roadmap. KwikNest is not a marketplace and does not sell on your behalf |
| Public API and OAuth apps for developers | Planned — no third-party app platform today |
| Self-hosting | Not available |
Something missing?#
Tell us which service, and what you would do with it. Knowing the workflow you are trying to finish is more useful to us than the vendor name — sometimes the answer is a feature rather than an integration.
